I am so proud of all Claire’s achievements. Claire is beginning to communicate with key word signing. She uses her hands to communicate ‘drink’, ‘more’ and ‘give me!!’ (in relation to either food or a toy). She is making more noises, but we hope that with significant speech therapy we will be able to encourage Claire to vocalise more, and to make new sounds rather than just vowel sounds.

Physically, Claire is now very aware of her hands. She likes to grab objects – especially jewellery and hair! I know I shouldn’t encourage it, but it is great practice for reaching! Claire is starting to sit independently for very short bursts of time. She performs at her best during group therapy sessions at Conductive Education Queensland. Maybe she is trying to impress her buddy, James :).
